Hi everyone. I have a 4 year old neutered male malamute that is in great body condition. He weighs 115 lbs. and is very lean. He is currently on Blue Buffalo Large Breed. Has anyone heard of Acana? I've heard it's terrific quality food. I'm thinking of switching foods for him. If there's something out there that is healthier, and will make him live longer, why not get it? Can anyone recommend any formulas from Acana. I would like to keep him on the lean side, so as not to have joint problems in the future. His current activity level is a 2.5 mile walk everyday and some playing in the evening, and in the winter we go scootering on Saturdays. Thanks...!

Acana is made just a few hours south of me! It is a great food, I had very good success with it and only switched because the supplier here sells pets so I refuse to buy from them.

Ancana is made by the same company that makes Orijen, if you're familiar with it. I think it's a cheaper version but still of good quality.

My dog chloe loves acana salmon and potato.. i tried the following for my chloe... plain royal canin - she won't finish the 1/2 cup i'm giving plain solid gold - she still won't finish the 1/2 cup am giving mixed w/ minced meat on solid gold kibbles - she picks on the minced meat and won't finish the kibbles satin balls on solid gold kibbles - she will choose the satin balls that is coated on the kibbles then spit out the kibbles but with acana only, she finishes it to the last kibbles!!!
