ok....i live in south texas rigth across the border from mexio, a cousin who lives in mexico has a pair of rottweillers and has bred them 2 times in the last 4 years, anyway he came to visit and saw that my girl is pregnant and due in two weeks, he said that it would of been a good idea for me to have bought Omega 3 Fish Oil Capsules of 1000mg for her to get more protein, i told him that it might harm my girl, and he said that he has done it with his rottweillers when bred and that his girl has had a total of 13 beautiful pups in the 2 litters she's had and never had any problems with the omega.....any one heard of that before of giving your girl fish oil capsules for humans?....thanks
Fish oil is good for all dogs at any time. It is good for heart, circulation and their skin and coat. There are specific supplements that are intended for pregnant females that help keep the nutrients that are lost to the puppies at a healthy level for mom too. A calcium/phosphorus combo supplement is a good idea as it helps with milk production and bone health in mom and puppies.
