My little 3 year old silky terrier has sub-luxating patellas (wonky knees), and oddly enough so do I. During the fall, when the weather gets cool and damp mine hurt worse and seem to give me more trouble.
I've noticed my Dylan lifting his leg and hopping more than usual. He doesnt seem to be in pain, he just doesnt want to use his leg. I have him on the appropriate supplements and his vet is aware of the condition..
I was just wondering if anyone thinks it's just the cool weather making his worse, or if I should take him in to get looked at. Thanks for any help!
I would think so. The cold is hard on joints and I guess evewn in dogs, I had an old pit mix and he'd get a bit when it was cold outside, I'd have to turn the heat up in the house or him. LOL I would even wrap him in blankets if it was cold enough!
