Hello everyone. I'll introduce myself first. My name is Jessica and I'm 22. I love dogs (obviously)and am working towards a career in dog grooming. Someday I plan on racing in the Iditarod. I'm here to discuss and learn more about dogs :)
So here are some pictures of my dog. His name is Levi and he is probably about 2 years old. I adopted him back in June from a rescue organization. He was a stray when they found him, so I'm really not positive as to what he is mixed with, but have a pretty good idea. I wont say what I believe he is yet so as not to influence what you guys might think:
I can definiately see the Husky or Samoyed in there with the beautiful blue in the eyes and the coat and the way the tail curls. I'm thinking maybe mixed with a Lab? I say lab, because your Levi has a folded ear like a lab's ear. He has no markings of an Australian Shepherd. How much does he weigh?
Thanks for the guesses and the welcomes, everyone! Well, I adopted him from a Samoyed rescue organization, so he's more than likely part Samoyed. My first dog was a purebred Samoyed, so I know the breed pretty well. Sometimes I still feel so confused over what he might be mixed with and part of me thinks he might possibly not have Samoyed in him. whoever guessed Siberian Husky and Great Pyrenees and Husky and American Eskimo...this is what I was thinking the other day. Maybe that's why he is white and fluffy.
He's got the build and personality of a Siberian Husky. He really does not remind me at all of a Samoyed as far as that goes. And he's got the Party-colored eyes (blue and brown in both of them) which is part of why everyone thinks he's Husky, but these types of eyes can be found in a few other breeds, like Australian Shepherds. Plus his right ear dog flop over a little.
He is shockingly agile! He can jump extremely high with what seems like no effort. When I take him to the dog parks, he flies over all the picnic tables and benches and the other day, while I was there, he jumped on top of a short, little fence that was surrounding a tree and ran around on it. The thing was about 5 inches wide.
