I need help... My 2 Year old st. bernard have a large fluid filled growth on her front leg it is a little larger than a small foam football, The second I noticed it I took her to see her vet, they told me that "if its not broken dont fix it." I insisted on further assistance so they took X rays and they could not explain it, they also told me that it would get smaller as time gos on , well it hasnt. It has gone from looking like a small lime to a foam football. So far I have spent 1000$ on Xrays and exams , Anit inflammatory medication . I need answers, she is like my kid. Also it doesnt normally seem to bother her, only when she goes on long walks, but other than that no real noticeable limping. If anyone can help me on what it might be or what i should I would owe you the world.
It might be a lipoma, which is just a "fatty tumor" it is not cancerous or anything. They can get quite large. Perhaps you should get a second vet opinion. You could opt to have it surgically removed, but they do tend to return afterward.
My toy poodle had a large fluid filled cyst about the size of a red potato in her groin area. It started out the size of a pencil eraser and grew over one year to the largest size. I treated it with a product called oxydrops diluted in water to the ratio they recommend and sprayed it topically four times a day on the cyst. It ruptured after 3 days and took about three weeks to shrink, but it did heal and go away. You can buy this product at www.nzymes.com and you can read my testimonial on their website. Their products are amazing, make sure your dog gets top quality food and supplement with digestive enzymes.
