Hello, I have a male american bulldog, and I am wondering how old they need to be before you can start using them as a stud. I have some friends who have a female who is 3,they want to breed with my male, but im not sure the healthy, safe, appropriate age to do so. Anyone who can help me please let me know. Thanks.
Two years of age is an appropriate age for a stud to start breeding.
I am REALLY going to bite my tongue on this one, but you are going to do what you want, right? I just you do all the necessary testing on him before you stud him out (there are multiple ones). The female you breed him to can have STD's, just to let you know.
Animals, what animals? My children just have alot of hair!
OMG yes, i knew about the testing required and etc, i just didn't know age, and if you read closer, i said what age is SAFE...... bc im not intending on using him asa breeder, its just something i wanted to do once, believe me, my dog is like one of my kids, and he gets the best care. So thanks for your response!!
