Hey...got a yearling colt still a stud....good bred colt....had him bout 4 months and feeding plenty of hay...regular feedings of same feed...purina...and he is lookin like a pot-bellied pig...just never had one to look this way...and the grass is down for now so cant be grass-gut so to speak...have wormed him....twice in 4 months....acts little more laid back since i got him...but he is eating normal...and drinking normal...have saw bowel movement and normal...he looked better b4 i got him...and i find that hard to believe have raise colts...this has me puzzled...he shows no signs of colic...if it was kidneys ...have not saw him urine....he would have already layed down ?...could he have a benile tumor..in intestines...?? pulled on his belly around the flank area and sometimes it is very tight...others it is not...he has not missed a feeding but he just dont look rite' to me...thought someone on here may have had this occur b4...i will be taking him to the vet...both testicles are down...?? if you have any info please let me know...thanks...

What was he wormed with? I'd have a fecal done to see whats being missed.

Does he move around and exercise enough?

Is the big belly all you are worried about. Kinda hard to read your post.

thank you for all ur helpwith my ?...i have wormed him with strongyle...rotate wormer do u recommend change him now and worm him this week...can i take a fresh fecal sample to the vet and it be checked?...he does move around but i thnk he does act rite' and yea the belly is all believe is bothering me...just dont want to lose him..looked 4 9 years to find him....thank you so very much...god bless jennifer
