I would like to know what on earth these landlords expect people to do with their animals just because they don't want to deal with them. These animals have been around alot longer than some humans...are we suppose to just "get rid of the animals, because some human says so??" Things have gotten out of hand with humans, not animals. We animal lovers love our animals as much as we do our humans...animals are our heart, love, compassion, companions and will pay for any forseen damage they may do to or around humans. Where is the heart and compassion of humans gone to?? Animals have been around as long as humans if not longer...why should they be tossed out because "humans" don't want to deal with them. Animals save people from depression, lonelyness, illness...all kinds of diseases and problems. They contribute much to relationships as do any counselor or therapist. It's only those who abuse animals...that should not have them...regardless of the situation...obviously an animal lover.
Inuyasha #1 Fan I love all animals especially dogs and horses
I'm not too clear on what the question is here. Whther the apartments allow dogs is up to the apartment owner. Unfortunately mosy do not allow pets. Alot of irresponsible owners have ruined this for the rest of us by allowing the dogs to destroy the place or bark non stop keeping the other tenants awake, etc.
I can se it from the landlords point of view as well, but it makes it hard on the rest of us who do take good care of our pets.
You have well stated on side of the story, now put yourself in the landlords shoes. You will feel a whole lot different.
There are many of apartment/condo complexes that do allow pets. The landlord has to protect themselves and their property. Many people are allergic to animals of different kinds. If a person moves out, the landlord is responsible for a top notch cleaning of the place in case the next person is allergic. The pet deposit usually doesn't cover most of it.
The is also the ill mannered people who keep a gross place, and do not house break the pet, own an agressive pet, one that barks constanly, etc. Those people ruin it for the rest of us.
Frankly it distrubs me that so many people are losing there homes due to forclosure, and not considering there pets when they move. I can understand that some things just cant be helped but most people I believe choose to wait til the last minute thinking things will change, and then off to the shelter there pet goes.
On an off topic note, I do not believe we would be in such a bad economy if people had not tried to buy housed that can not afford. all of those ballons loans really destroyed us. The realitors pushed them, and prayed on less educated (about APR's and stuff) people. When my husband and I were house hunting on finance company tried to push that stuff on us, and I knew better. The government needs to get rid of all those non-convential loans, and go back to the way home buying was.
My parents owned a few residential properties and at first did allow people with pets, but after a few bad owners they had no choice but to stop. Sadly there are more bad owners than good ones it seems and they have ruined it for us all.
