We have been on a blue quaker waiting list at a small pet store near our home for months. We saw an article in the newspaper announcing the grand opening for a pet shop (PJ's Pets) at a local mall (Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood NY) and decided to go a few weeks after they had their grand opening. To our great surprise and joy they had... a blue quaker. We bought the bird for $350 from PJ's Pets at the Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood NY. Within 72 hours the bird died. The store refused to exchange or refund. This experience has been devastating for me and my family.
What kind of guarantee did you get with the bird? If none, that was your fault. I would have purchased a bird from a pet store with out a health guarantee. All animals found at pet stores come from mass breeding farms. That includes puppy, kittens, birds, and small animals, etc. alot of animals die in transit, or shortly after getting to pet store. I prefer to look for speciality store, or online for somthing I want. Most pet stores have no clue how th care for anything outside of a hamster lol.
Sorry for your loss, and if there was a guarantee, I would sue and contact the better buisness beuro(sorry spelled that wrong)
