A couple of days ago, someone dumped a 6 month old kitten in my yard. She's completely emaciated and we think she was abused. Vet checked her out and determined that she was someones pet because she is trained already; and they intentionally starved her, other than that she completely healthy. Think she's half Maine Coon, named her Lily and is absolutely beautiful. My only concerns are if she's eating to much. Neighbor told me that if she ate to much then her stomach would explode out her behind. I wanna make sure that I'm not going to be the reason she doesn't make it. She was very active up until about a day ago and I'm not sure if it's because of the was she's eating or not. Should I only feed her a couple of times a day and then put the food up or should I let her eat freely? She's only used the litter box about 3 times that I know since Monday morning when I brought her in. Could she be backed up?

Sorry but that has to be the most asinine thing I have heard yet.
I would portion out her meals three times a day for a little while. If she was truly starved then it is going to take her system a little bit to get back into shape. After a couple of weeks you could cut i back to two meals a day and then to free fedding if that is how you normally feed.
