I have the most beautiful new break stick! It is solid oak and just as smooth as satin. I hope to never ever have to use it, but I sure do like to feel it! http://tinypic.com/r/smd8yd/6
Hubby has taken to buying very old, heavy, sturdy woodworking equipment and completely restoring it. Not only is the equipment itself just gorgeous when he is done, but now he can make pretty wood things, as evidenced by my fancy break stick.
Aww, I think hubby is going to feel great that other people admire his handiwork, too! I will run it by him and see how he feels about making another. He is out right now buying an ancient saw of some sort that he found on Craigslist.
yes please let me know. I had an extremly agressive aussie, and when her and my other go into a fight, I used a metal mop stick to beat her off the other dog. I tried using my hands to let go, but all I did was get bit bad lol. needless to say she has been spayed in placed in a one dog only pet home.
It sucks, she was such a pretty bitch, champion and all. I do not tolerate agressiveness in my dogs at all. Alpha was one thing, this was nuts. I hope to never have to do it again, but would love a break stick just in case. I am not so sure my fingers can handle that again.
Haven't forgotten about you guys. Hubby had to do some work on the saw so that it would be safer to use. He made my stick because he just couldn't wait to make something with it, but wanted to tweak some things on the saw before he made anything else, so as to be sure and keep all of his appendages!
