Hey, Just wondering how to ship my puppies. I have never shiped before and I have them listed online and if someone were to buy one I have no idea what to do. Can someone help me at all? I have Maltese's and i'm really scared to ship them off but if I know how it works it might make me feel better. :-) Thanks so much!
I only use Delta. The dog has to be there an hour ahead of time in a crate that is authorized for travel. They must have a veterinarians health clearance to fly within 10 days of the flight. I ONLY ship a direct flight. Absolutely no layovers, but I encourage people to fly in to pick up there pup. It is about the same amount to carry them back on the plane, as it is to ship.
There are hidden costs, so be careful. $400 will cover it, but it is generally in the $300's, depending on the weight. The pup must be 8 weeks old, and the "smashed" face dogs can only ship during certain temperatures. They should have food or chew toys in the crate. Once you do it, it is pretty simple, but encourage them to pick it up, since it is about the same price.
