Hello! I have two miniature pinscher dogs. Both of them are 3 in a half years old and they will be 4 years old in July. One of them is a black/rust mini pin and the other is chocolate. The one that I'm worried about is the black/rust one. I'm not sure if she is half pig or has a breathing problem. She snorkels a lot; and when I listen to her breathing she isn't breathing heavily which is good, but she is breathing weird-like. She makes this snorkling noise when she is running as well. She's been like that since a week after we got her. I contacted the miniature pinscher farm, and they said to ask the vet when we go to the "vacs." so I did. They said it's nothing. But, I know it's something. Does anyone might know a reason for this or what I could do. Does anybody think it's asthma?
Why Abuse An Animal? What Have They Ever Done to You?
Could be lots of things, including asthma but it is hard to tell. If it happens a lot during exercise it may be a collapsing trachea. My guess is that it is probably what is termed a "reverse sneeze". Look that term up and see if that matches what your dog is doing.
