I have a miniature schnauzer, he is already one year old. he has been potty trained all the while. but 2 days ago, he went for full grooming, and it was his 1st time at the new groomer, they were tidy and clean and professional (they asked prior whether he has any sickness/ fleas/ vaccination done etc- previous groomer didn't) so anyway, he was real tired when he got back because he didn't have a good rest since morning he was up and about, and about 2pm i took him to the groomer and they finished bout 5pm. When he came back, he was sleepy, so later that night i felt he was a bit warm (i think he had fever) but my bf said its normal for them to have a warm body temp. so he was a bit down the next day but his appetite was as normal (good appetite i should say) we played with him but he got tired easily. then earlier next morning he vomitted. after that it was feeding time and his appetite was like normal again. but we brought him to the doc later that day and had his temp check and vet said he was fine. doc said maybe he's hitting puberty. which i don't know how they will react. that night, he pee and pooed on the floor while we werent noticing. he had never done that so far. he knew it was wrong. because when i questioned him, he went and hide before i raised my hand or anything, i just called him and he knew he did something wrong. and it was not marking territoy kinda pee, it was just right smack of no where. i do not get the pattern of his behaviour. and day after that he was doing his thing like normal. and today again he pee and poo on the floor. i do not know what is wrong as we did not change anything. please help.
I don't think any of his symptoms could be directly related to being groomed by itself. I wonder whether or not he was drugged while he was there. If he is still acting punky I would take him back to the vet.
i don't think its the grooming as well. but he seems fine again yesterday. doing his business at the right places. not sure whether he was drugged cause he is all the while alright with grooming. thanks for the comment
