In the AKC I would say that both would be hard to show to a CH without a handler, both are very popular breeds with some great breeders, getting a high quality, well bred one is gonna be tough I would think.
both breeds require alot of work keeping that coat up, and in good shape. Constant brushing, and banding to keep it clean and free of tangles. I have to also agree with the above, they are such popular breeds I am sure you will require a perfessional handler. Also, I am sure a good show breeder of either breed will require a co-own.
I agree with LPN. You can take show/handling classes here, and you are most definitely the best person to show your dog. There are few handlers that I would trust with my dogs...they are my babies. They also cost outrageous amounts of money. Go to some shows, look into classes and talk to various breeders who show, and get some tips. Someone is usually eager to help. Ignore any negative feedback from the breeders who think they have the best dogs on the planet.Good luck!
