My mini Dachshund is about 62 days pregnant and for the past few days she has been leaking clear fluid. Today her temp. has dropped from 100.1 to 97.2 and she keeps digging in her nesting box. Since this is her first litter I'm not sure if her temp. dropping means anything But when my other dog had her pups her temp. dropped and then four hours latter she was having pups. I hope this temp. drop means that my Dachshund is going to have her pups soon.

Sounds like you will have a litter shortly. The temp drops up to 24 hours before giving birth, but my bitch usually delivers within 12 hours. You have been through this before, so you know what to do from here. I wish you the best and hope all of the pups are born healthy.

it does sound like u will be havinq puppies very soon because the expected pregnancy is only 60-61 days and the temp. does drop
