Hi, I have a sweet little Lhasa Poo girl named Molly. She is 12 weeks old. I am crate training her. I am home with her all day. She sleeps all night in her crate and doesn't pee. She is very good about doing her bathroom duties outside when I take her out. Once I know she has gone to the bathroom outside I allow her some time free in the house to run around. But, after a short period of time playing she is peeing in the house. I am using praise when she goes outside and I say "oh no" or "bad" when she goes in the house. Will this peeing in the house go away with age? or am I doing something wrong? She spends most of her day either in the crate or outside. I only give her brief periods of play in the house. Any advice from you guys that have succesfully potty trained would be great!!! Thanks, Sheri
She is really to young to understand the difference yet. Her little bladder probably cant hold it but a short period of time, and she still has to learn that concept yet. Your job is to watch her like a hawk. Whe she starts sniffing around, or loses interested in a game take her outside. She is not to be out of your sight even for a split second. As soon as she looks like she is going to squat, run her out side to go.
She will get it, but it takes time for the idea to even registar.
