My 9 year old pit bull Spike was just diagnosed with kidney disease this weekend. The vet has changed his diet to K/D Hills prescription dog food. This is very expensive dog food, but it's never too much money for my baby, I was wondering does anyone know of where they may have coupons for this type of food. I get Pet Smart coupons but not often. Saving even $1 is better than nothing since with his new medical bills every little bit helps.Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
Unfortunately I have never seen coupons for this food. K/D is not the only food out there formulated for treatment of kidney disease so you could check do price comparisons to find one that meets your budget. Personally I despise Hill's foods but they've cornered the market for so long most vet's only use/recommend their products. Try these:
I like the Royal Canin products myself. I have a cat who has been on 1 of their veterinary formulas for years and [knock on wood] is doing remarkably well. Sorry it turned out to be kidney failure. I had a feeling it was =[ Good luck with him !
Thanks so much fo the info. I had researched kidney disease but he had more symptoms of the other things I look up so kidney disease was at the bottom of my list. I knew with his age at some point he would start having issues. Thanks again.
