I believe she is a mutt. I have no papers on her. I went out today to play with her, and finally got to see the whole horse under the blanket lol. I took her sight unseen. She was free, I fell in love with pics and talk to the people for a long time. Even saw a video, so I just said yes.
Anyway. I would call her a paint personally, but her coggins says paint/qh. She is mostly chestnut, with some roaning, and a couple of small spots. Her bald face is killer, and those blue eyes.
She is such a doll baby, waiting at the fence for me(or probably anyone for that matter lol, when I got to the barn. She is a bit ansy on the crossties, and likes to paw alot. Just a few things we need to work on. I just groomed her and moved her around the round pen today. She has great gaits. I will ride her on Sunday. She needed her teeth done badly, so I am waiting for a few raw spots to start healing before putting a bit in her mouth again.
My Girls name is Daisy. I could not be happier with her. We have bonded so much over the months. I am re-training her for western pleasure, and she is doing wonderful. Very quick learner. I am so happy I said yes to her, and took the chance on her.
My parents just recently got a free horse as well. The gentleman who had owned her had too many horses and couldn't afford them all. She is very sweet, though a bit ornery and spoiled.
My parents' neighbor also got a horse from the same gentleman. Welllll, it's no wonder he had too many horses because he had the boys and girls together in the pasture! The one the neighbor got turned out to be preggo and had a foal.. And my parents are seriously thinking that the one they got may be pregnant as well! They'll deal with it but it wasn't in the plan!
I have seen and heard of that happening. My girl was from a private owner, and she wasn't doing what they wanted. They wanted a fast jumper, and at 15hands and 1200lbs. Daisy is not ever going to be fast lol.
Congrats on your new equine, and maybe baby lol. It is such a special bond, that no can understand unless you live it.
