Doberman Pinschers

I am getting a new 8 week old puppy and cant choose my puppy because i am the last person to pay so out of six puppies i will get the last one. i am wondering if this is going to be the worst puppy or if it will have the mothers temperment. she is high strung and aloof. the father, is laid back and friendly. what do you think?

Temperament heredity, as far as I can tell, is generally a BREED thing, a lot of times even a LINE of a BREED thing -- given a stable, loving home. I've never seen it broken down as to gender with a breed. I think, in your situation, it's a crap shoot. You'll just have to monitor and observe the pup to determine his/her temperament and go from there. Keep in mind that temperament can have a lot to do with nurture rather than nature.

Temperament is a combination of genetics and enviroment.
Dobes are not a beginners breed. Plan to take obedience classes with your dog. Also do alot of research on the stable raising of the Doberman.
