I've been adopted by a stray male dog that looks to be mostly Great Pyrenees. I have a question about the breed-standard double dew claws on the hind legs. This fellow has what looks more like one HUGE dew claw on each leg, but each of them have TWO toenails. Does this ever happen with pure-blooded GPs? He appears to be around a year old, but he's still got a lot of color to him, too---more than the 'acceptable' one-third.
Any input? I have no plans to breed him, I'm just curious.
