Hi... new to the forum and ACD ownership... we are already in love with our rescue dog, Sydney, who's been with us about 3 weeks now.
I've noticed that when I walk her on walking trails in the woods that she has an almost insane aversion to crossing wooden footbridges. Eventually -- after she watched several other dogs cross the bridge, she was able to do it, but I don't think she liked it.
Sydney is 8 months old, and was with the same rescue family for the previous 3 months, so it seems unlikely that she had some sort of traumatic experience.
I'm wondering if there is some breed-specific fear going on.
