Kelpie First Dog Infected With Deadly Hendra Virus

A kelpie in Australia was put down after he was infected with the hendra virus

My heart goes out to the family in Australia who decided to euthanize their 2 year old Kelpie because he had the hendra virus. I read that they're working on a vaccine for horses - hopefully there will be a vaccine for other animals as well.
