My wife and I just purchased a 9-week-old male bichon frise puppy from a AKC registered breeder and I have a couple of questions. We recently lost our 17-year-old bichon and the other dogs we have, a 7 year old cockapoo and 13-year-old pomeranian miss her badly. We purchased the bichon trying to ease the loss for the entire family but the other dogs are having a tough time relating to the new addition, especially around food time. That leads me another situation. The adult dogs are eating a combination of Chicken Soup for the Soul hard and soft food while the breeder started the puppy off on Puppy Chow mixed with Caesar's puppy food. To my surprise the bichon puppy would rather eat the adult food and my cockapoo would rather eat the puppy food! Will this hurt either of them or should I put a halt to it right now?
Also, since it has been quite some time since the cockapoo was a puppy..what can I do to help him with his teething.
