Hi! its so nice to join a forum dedicated to pups! I love my puppy very much and I find myself trying not to talk everyone's ear off about him. My boyfriend and I took him in when a friend of a coworker found him on the side of the road by some woods when he was about 3months old. He was very sickly looking and we had our doubts but I fell in love with those puppy eyes and my boyfriend couldn't resist either. upon taking him home we immediately got him set up with a local vet. He was under weight... we could see his bones(hence his name... and my bf thought he would be a puppy biker :/) his skin was flaky and dry and he had little puncture wounds and fleas! once he received all his vaccines and we treated his worms and got a monthly pill for his fleas and worm prevention. we neutered him because one of his testicles never dropped and the vet said it could possible cause cancer if not removed. All in all he has been very expensive but I can honestly say the joy he brings outweigh any expense he may rack up. Bones is now a healthy very active dog. And a spoiled one at that! He put on weight and at 7and a half months he is now a whopping 45 pounds. He loves the dog beach and his daddy even lets him ride on the paddle board. Everyday after work he gets ball time and loves to cuddle. We take frequent trips to the pet store and he enjoys meeting new animals. He is the treasure of my life and it amazes me he was left out in the start but I like to think he was trying to find me :) He is a lab/pit mix and I was a tad worried considering what everyone said about the breed but he is the most loving pup ever and it amazes me that so many people down this mix. I enclosed some cute pics of Sir. Bones and I hope you all enjoyed hearing his story!
