On the 4 Feb my bitch Lucy who just turned 5 had her first litter of 3, two girls and a boy. Well the problems that we have fallen in love with all the pups and I am wondering if this a good idea or not. I live on a farm so excercise and food are not a promlem, we had the intentions of only keeping one pup but at 4 weeks old they are just so cute!!! I am such a sucker for baby animals.
if you can train and keep up with them then there is no reason not to keep them if you want. I would suggest spaying or nuetering what you can. You don't want to have an opps, or make sure you have good confinement when needed. Muliple puppies can be difficult to train at once, and each should have individual training time.
Even as an experienced breeder and have raised and grown out several puppies in the past, those same cute group of puppies will also hit their adolesent stages together and can drive even the most sane person a bit batty. I've kept multiple pups from litters and it's not easy. They also tend to bond to each other more than bonding to you. Just some things to consider .
