Our 11 year old shi tzue which seemed normal this morning jumped the last stair going down this morning and landed funny, she yelled, but after we held her for a while she was ok, ever since then she has been walking constantly panting and with her tail down, her leg appears to be fine, she has full mobility, and she isn't limping. We think her stomach might be sick, but we don't know, it has been almost 10 hours and she is still constantly walking around, she does drink, and eats, and pees outside but she won't calm down, should we take her to the vet? There has also been alot of family coming and going which might be adding to her stress. But she has never reacted like this to people coming and going
Any time a dogs behavior is out of the ordinary (especially after an accident, even a minor one) a trip to the vet is needed. It does not take much to cause internal damage if she landed just the right way. Better to be safe and make sure she is okay and have the peace of mind to know.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It is about learning to dance in the rain.
