I have a 9 month old boxer puppy. We also have a 4yr old husky and my roomates have a 2yr old lab. And honestly for a boxer puppy i dont think she is that bad when it comes to chewing or digging which i feel has partly to do with the fact that there are two other dogs there to keep her a lil distracted. All three dogs stay outside in our big backyard when we are not home. And she digs here and there but nothing too crazy. well, my boyfriend hates it and is insisting we start to crate her. I understand when its raining, which doesnt happen too often in San Diego. but she really hates the crate and i stress out all day at work knowing that she is stressing out in the crate. I also think it would be worse for her in the crate to see the other dogs roaming around. Has the sand box thing really worked for anyone to help with the digging? I feel like that might also be teaching bad habits. i try to run with her or take her to the dog park everyday but sometimes that doesnt even get enough energy out of her. Any other advice like types of toys or something that would keep her busy and not dig or chew?
