I have a 9 month old min pin who is generally a great dog... however lately, despite being house broken she has been having accidents. at first I thought that it was because she is a picky dog about her pee pads.... so i started changing them every time she used them.. however she is still going in places that she knows she shouldn't. it started about a month ago... she was constantly using her pads all the time then bam... she wasn't. She tends to have accidents in front of our tv and in front of our back door... i have tried everything I can think of.... including putting pee pads in every room... I'm lost and have no idea why she is doing this... does anyone have any tips or ideas??
I have a similar problem with my Chihuahua. He's 10 months old, and we've trained him to go on pee pee pads. Everything was fine for a while. Then he decided he wanted to poop upstairs. So I added a new set of pads up there. That was fine for a shorter period of time. Then he started peeing and pooping off the pads (on the rug). So, I put a shower curtain down under his pads, and now he pees and poops on and OFF the curtain as well as on his pads. I'm so frustrated. We DO have 3 cats, and everyone shares the house, so could it be he just wants his stank everywhere to let the cats know he's the king?
