Our little buddy Lucky is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and he is 7 years old. Over a month ago he was put on bed rest for his back, he possible sprung his back.
The main issue has been going on for awhile now but is getting worse. He is so tender in so many places...just tonight I was petting and rubbing down both sides of his body like I always do an he let out a yelp that brought in everyone. Sometimes it is front and sometimes in back, and it is not on his back, I guess it would be like his rib area.
We have to lift him into our van, and careful as we are we always seem to make him yelp. It's just not one spot. It is driving me nuts and can't figure out what it is... this is not the lifting issue, this is why is he yelping just being rubbed.
I am sure we will have to have him get an x-ray, don't have doggy insurance simply because no one of them will cover pre exsiting conditions..which is nuts... but we have to do it. Not sure an x-ray will really show anything.
Any ideas, yes we use a body harness is you ask. He just is tender in so many places.. Appreciate any ideas
