Looking for some answers for my 14 yr old cat. She was diagnosis with IBS last year & has been on Predisone since. At first, she had runny black stool, vomiting brown (color of her food) & when in the litter box trying to go, she would sometime vomit small amount of clear bubbly water. She also lost ALOT of weight. She went from 15lbs down to 8lbs within a yrs time. Since on Predisone & Royal Canin Intestinal moist can food, she did gain a pound back, the diarrhea is gone (normal stool) no more vomiting. However, the vet is still concerned about her High White Blood Count. Just had blood work done 2 days ago, & her WBC has increased since her last bloodwork 4 months ago. He said long term Predisone could do this but also an infection or a blockage in her intestines. He recommended an Ultra sound but being unemployed, I can't afford $700.00 to have this done. Any suggestions?
