I am new to the rescue process. My husband and a few other golfers befriended a stray. The stray becomes pregnant and it took us a good while to find them but we did and by this time we began feeding and assisting mom in weening them. We set a very friendly trap of sorts and now successfully have 3 of the 4 pups at our home. Luckily a good friend has a 8 x 5 foot dog pen that we borrowed.
The pups are probably 4-5 months old. Any tips from veterans?
Wow, the sooner these pups can be individually rehomed, the better. They will need vaccinations and a whole lot of socialization and daily walks, training. With gentle, firm, patient, and consistent training and socialization they should be able to successfully integrate into a new home. How are these pups around strangers or kids?
