Well, my site is back up. I am still having major problems with it and it needs updating. I have many recent photos of all the dogs to add as well as some contract revisions. I'm working on an all new site with another web designer, so stay tuned....!! Anyway, feel free to check it out and let me know what you think of my bullies! http://www.parkinsabs.com
1. Jasper's coloring is phenomenal! Brindle is HARD to find. We will take two of those! 2. Loco is going to be huge. Boy is he a cutie! 3. I also like the lemon and creme girl you kept. She's pretty too. I know many people are partial to the lighter color but I love the darker ones. Jasper is beautiful. How did you get the color? Why is it so hard to produce? Gorgeous animals!
Thank you for the compliments everyone! The site is pretty basic, but I am happy with the layout and the quality. As I am becoming more comfortable with my computer skills, I am doing a bit more to the site (html, etc.) I am also starting on a new site that will be all my design with the help of a webdesigner. My current site was done with a sitebuilder program, and the new one will be all up to me! A bit frightening, but I am excited about it. (I am fed up with my host, so it's time! LOL!) FrostyGirl- feel free to email me anytime to chat about web desighn. I don't know much, but I'm happy to help where I can! Scout1- I love all the bull and molosser breeds. I am involved in bull and molosser breed rescue, so I have gotten some hands on experience with most of them. I have to say that if I didn't have my bulldogs, I would be interested in a well bred working Cane Corso or Presa Canario. That is a tough choice though.. they all have some great qualities! Jan- I could go on and on about my breed! They are a very strong willed and sometimes stubborn breed. Where some dogs will try and find a way around an obstacle, AB's just plow right through it! Very kid and people loving, but also territorial and protective (will not let strangers in your home without your permission) Used as catch dogs and farm utility dogs (great for working, but can be difficult around small animals and livestock) Biggest downfall is dog aggression. Not a good breed to keep in same sex pairs, and occasionally they don't even do well with opposite sex.. depends on the dog, the owner and how dominant/submissive other dogs are. For more great info on the breed, check out the American Bulldog Resources site at www.dogresources.com/abrhome.html mls2004- thank you for the compliments on my bullies! Jasper is a handsome boy (and spoiled absolutely rotten I might add!) In my breed, not too many people have color preferences. We go by working dogs, which dogs will compliment each other in conformation as well as pedigree, etc. Tan or shades of red are very dominant. If a red dog is bred to any other color, you will get many red pups in a litter. The greatest chance for brindles is to breed 2 brindles together.I did not produce Jasper... his sire was brindle and his dam was red. His sire's sire was red and the dam was brindle. His dam's parents were both red. He had multiple brindles in his pedigree. The litter I just had there were many red pups. The sire was fawn/white and the dam was a rarer buckskin or fawn brindle and white. I had 1 solid white pup and 2 fawn brindle and white pups. The rest were all varying amounts of red. The biggest thing with this breed is linebreeding. The people who linebreed will produce more predictable litters in color and cosistancy.
