I am not really religous but I do believe that everyone including all animals go somewhere great. I also believe in reincarnation, so maybe one of my animals will come back to me in one way or another? You never know!
I hope they do, however if they meet us on the other side... O BOY THERE WILL BE A BUNCH OF DOGS, CATS, GOLD FISHES, RABBITS, HAMTERS, BIRDS, ETC. WATING FOR ME.... I have had all kind of pets in my 40 years of life. OH AND SOMETING ELSE, THERE WILL BE A LOT OF NOISE IN MY HOUSE IN HEAVEN: Barking and other animal noise. LOL.
someone on this forum posted this a while back(mls I think) and I hope it answers your questions. I don't think anyone has to worry dogs and other animals have a special place in heaven I live among God's creatures now in the heavens of your mind So do not grieve for me my friend as I am with my own kind. My collar is a rainbow's hue my leash a shooting star My boundaries are the Milky Way where I sparkle from afar. There are no pens and keenels here for I am not confined But free to roam God's heavens among my own kind The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound Milkbones line the walkways just waiting to be found. At night I sleep in angel's arms her wings protecting me And moonbeams dance above us as stardust falls on me. So when your life on earth is spent and you stand at Heaven's Gate Have no fear of loneliness for here you know I wait. Author Unknown
I am Christian, and I do not believe that animals have souls, nor do they go to heaven or other afterlife. If animals go to heaven, that means they have a soul. If animals had a soul, they would have a concience with the ability to choose between right and wrong, and would be subject to be judged just as humans in both this world and the afterlife. It would also mean it would be a crime for us to kill ANY animal for any reason unless it was for self defense. Here is a good website discussing animals and souls/afterlife: http://www.apologeticspress.org/rr/rr1999/r&r9912a.htm ~Seij
LOL, You have to know the history to understand why I'm laughing now. I am also Christian, one of my best friends (a devout Catholic himself) and I have this arguement all the time. Personally I choose to believe that all animals have souls. He conceeded that the Catholics have some beliefs he doesn't necessarily agree with (this not being one of them) and so we agreed to disagree. It just made me chuckle when I read that because I haven't seen him in a couple of months and it made me think of the long discussions we had, at work no less. If there is one thing I miss about my old job it's the people I worked with. :) Have a good day! I believe animals have souls and spirits, and that is why dogs have been domesticated, so we can lead them in the right direction. They do not know what is right & wrong on their own, but you can teach them. I do not believe animals are little people in fur. They just aren't. They're what they are. Cats are cats. Dogs are dogs. I am Catholic myself, and I believe whatever dies (excluding things like snails, bugs, spiders, ants, etc.), there is a heaven for it. Only humans have a hell, since we choose to have a motive behind our bad deeds, and animals do not. Animals usually do those things to find out what happens. If they get a bad response from it, they most likely won't do it again. ---Allie the Chihuahua http://www.dogster.com/?41063 ---Mönica the Kitty http://www.catster.com/?57596
I believe Heaven and Hell is what you make it. Some people live in Hell on earth every day of their lives and others are in their own Heaven everyday that they awake. In my Heaven there would definitely be dogs it wouldn't be Heaven without them. I believe dogs have souls different from humans and that there is a very special place reserved for them when they pass.
