This morning while out for his morning constitution and squirrel patrol of his yard, Toby brushed up against an old board leaning on the shed. It tipped over on him and caught his left rear end side under it as he scurried away from it. He has been limping around a bit and holding his leg up some. I am going to give it some time before rushing him to the ER again. Remember what happened to me last time?
Poor Toby. Dogs just live by "whatever can go wrong, will go wrong". Don't they? I was raised around horses. You want to see a big nasty accident waiting to happen? Only thing worse than Labs are horses.
Wendy, I really do not know what to say except that I hope Toby feels better soon. I was going to respond with one of my funny comments but I know you are worried so I'll save it until all is better. (maybe just bring him and sit in the waiting room without being seen, and he'll probably start acting like a little nut before you know it) Sorry could not resist.
I was hoping he was only faking or just a little sore. He seems to be getting over it. He puked just a while ago too. He is having a bad day so far. He ate some of a booda velvet chew thing. I think it is edible, but it didn't agree with him. The stuff he puked up was really hard and chunky and looked like scrambled eggs but felt like hard plastic chunks. Poor Toby. I was going to try and pappoose him today like Allie suggested and try to cut those toenails, but maybe I will wait until tomorrow.
Yea, just wait till tomorrow. He isn't majorly hurt, I would just be limping for a day if a board fell on my leg. Don't worry. ---Allie the Chihuahua http://www.dogster.com/?41063 ---Mönica the Kitty http://www.catster.com/?57596
