i have never ever seen a pit bull in real live before, and wondered what the were like, size ect i dont mean there temperment as i no ALL dogs are different and it all depends on the way there are brung up. are they just like stafadger bull terriers but will more musile and a little bit bigger????? i have seen a few pics of them and i would love to own one, but dont no there size ect
Staffordshire Bull Terriers and American Pit Bull Terriers are two totally separate breeds. Here are pictures of my American Pit Bull Terriers their size varies depending on the dog and it's bloodlines. http://photobucket.com/albums/v338/reginaha/ Bluebelle~APBT http://www.dogster.com/?75640 Punkin~APBT http://www.dogster.com/?75639 Fancy~Pekingese http://www.dogster.com/?75637 Pinky~APBT http://www.dogster.com/?75636 Molly~Kitty Cat http://www.catster.com/?78238
I own an American Pit bull terrier mix, and am VERy angry, but not at any of you. My obidence puppy trainer adores her, but told me to call her an American Staffordshire terrier mix instead becuase if not everyone will hate my puppy. So far, no one does. I frankly refuse to lie and say that she's a staffordshire. I want to admit what she truely is. http://www.dogster.com/?32912 (she doesn't look pittish in thes epictures because she was VERY younge, and the pictures were taken from the shelter's bad camra crew.)
Thank You very much Conlink IM very proud of my beautiful babies! There is no reason to be ashamed of what breed your dog is. Take it from someone who has lived and learned on this matter...There will always be someone out there with something negative to say about Pit Bulls the best thing you can do as an owner of the breed is educate yourself so that you can in turn educate others. Getting angry will not change a persons opinion but instead add to the negative stereotype already placed on Pit Bulls and their owners. P. S Shadow is a doll, but I don't see any Pit Bull in her? Did the shelter say she was a Pit Bull mix?
Here is some pics of (my) Pit Bulls. They come in a lot of colors, none of mine are the same color. Typical weight is 30-60lbs. Some are bigger or smaller, balance is the most important thing and not the actual size of the dog. Most larger dogs are not well balanced, a lot don't have good conformation. Some are not even pure. You also have some smaller ones who are a little disproportionate, a lot of somes you see them too long (you know how weenie dogs are). Theres a lot of different looking Pit Bulls and it depends on the breeder and the bloodline. http://a0.cpimg.com/image/82/1C/39934850-1a5a-01E601A1-.jpg Here is my red brindle, red nose puppy http://a2.cpimg.com/image/7A/88/40628602-f431-00F100BB-.jpg http://a9.cpimg.com/image/81/88/40628609-971e-013301E1-.jpg 31lbs Brindle Female http://a0.cpimg.com/image/06/52/40111110-84da-016B01A8-.jpg http://a1.cpimg.com/image/C1/A3/36304321-44ee-01FA015F-.jpg 34lbs red & white red nose female http://a8.cpimg.com/image/00/18/39760128-191b-0120012E-.jpg http://a3.cpimg.com/image/A9/A2/33137833-b48b-02360113-.jpg 44lbs light red male
