We were talking about this program the other day.... sounds like a really good program. However, I have found, in my area...either the participating vets do not honor the $30.00 coupon and just give a reduced rate (like $75.00 which may be reduced, but still high) or are no longer participating in the progam. I did find one vet that will charge the $30.00, but I have to have his baby teeth taken out, too and they want to charge $85.00 for that! Trying to make up for the lost money, I guess. Other vets charge anywhere from $5.00 to $13.00 for each tooth since they are going to be asleep for the neutering anyway... SNYP is a very good idea if it works... Now I admit, I did not call every name on the list and maybe if I was willing to drive to other close towns, I might find one, but I called 5 different ones on the list.
Wow, that's very cool. I will look into that after Allie is finished. When she gets her last point, she is getting spayed. ---Allie the Chihuahua http://www.dogster.com/?41063 ---Mönica the Kitty http://www.catster.com/?57596
Someone the other day, put a whole list of options...you might look back at the postings or type "snyp" or "low cost neuter and your city and state" in a SEARCH ENGINE and you can find something. I did a lot of researching and I am ending up going to my own vet which will be appr. $200 by the time we do the laser neuter and have his 4 baby teeth that won't fall out, taken out. Way too much, but of course, she said the doctor really "encourages the laser because it is a lot less pain and bleeding involved. I caved in and decided to do the laser. My husband will die! He says he didn't even get the laser surgery!
