I'm 13 so I can't really have a 'job'. I'm wondering if any of you have jobs or know of a job that I would get paid decent money so I can start adding to my bank account. (My parents told me if I wanted a dog that bad, then I would have to show it by 'working'.) Please, I'm open to anything. Comments and opinions please! Thanks.
Where I live, you can take a 'babysitting course' at the rec center where they teach you CPR and the first aid. Once you are certified, they help you find work. And you get paid more because you are certified. When I was 13, I charged a service for proof reading school papers. If english is a good subject for you, you could try that. I would just charge 5 dollars for each paper. They would give me their rough draft and I would proof read it and make changes to it and give it back to them for them to do a final copy. If you're into arts and crafts, you can find projects at your local hobby store and make things and advertise them on billboards at places like Walmart or such. There was this girl out where I live that made infant bracelets. They were sooooooo cute! I bought so many from her when my daughter was a baby. People like stuff like that because they're good 'baby book' items. She would personalize them too. Like use the beads that had letters and personally spell out my daughter's name. Another thing you could do is create a 'yard service' with some friends. Distribute fliers to neighbors (only the ones you know and that your parents are okay with you contacting) and offer to shovel driveways in the winters, or rake leaves in the fall or mow in the summer. My brother and I had a service where we shoveled walks for all the neighbors on our street. We got paid 5 dollars a house. 10 if it was a corner lot. Speaking of services, you could do a cleaning service for your family. Offer an aunt or grandma to clean their house for 20 dollars or so. You can clean the bathrooms, mop, dust and vacuum. That's all the ideas I can think of at the moment...lol
Dog Walking, shovelling driveways mowing the lawn, helping people carry groceries there is a lot of things you could do. What do you like? I think a babysitting course would be great. It would show your parents that you are responsible! Most important thing to do now and always is : Stick it out. Never quit unless you are in a really bad situation but don't quit because your bored. Parents see that and it's no way!
