I know one that has a real strong tail. I took two of my Maltese to the vet today, and I was standing at the desk waiting to hear how much less money I would have for food this week. This lady comes in with a huge Golden Retriever and he hit me right behind the knees with his wagging tail, and I almost hit the floor. When I turned around he was still swinging that tail.
I absolutly LOVE Golden Retrievers!!!! My 16-month-old, female, Kelsey is very sweet and loves everybody. She is very beautiful too! Kelsey is light golden(blonde). She is everything a golden should be in temperament, size, and looks. She is healthy too. I have owned goldens on and off since I was 5-years-old and all of the goldens I owned were wonderful family dogs.
My favorite all time dog was my Golden Retriever Bucky who I got custody of when I kicked out his father. He was the the BEST!! I didn't get another retriever due to the short lifespan of goldens and now have bichons and coton de tulears. Quite a switch from the golden.
Well, obviously Rusty is one of the dark red ones. He's great, and I know what you mean about that wagging tail. I posted somewhere yesterday that he can clear off a coffee table in one sweep, then he acts all scared! The funny thing is, even though the red ones are harder to find, there is a guy right around the corner that has one that looks so much like Rusty that the first time I saw him I had to do a double take to make sure he hadn't stolen my dog. LOL
I really love Goldens. I had one when I was younger and she was the sweetest and most patient dog ever. I would put that girl threw hell and everytime she was just go along with it and not seem to care. I think they are one of the best family dogs, when bred right of course!
Sorry did not read the whole post. Do you mean rock as in back and forth? lol I love retrievers. Really smart and they are the cutest cutest puppies I have ever seen! ADORABLE! We babysat a retriever for about 3 years. (neighbours while at work) This one would greet you by almost talking. Funny!
