Yes, Wendy, thanks for asking =0) Everything went fine and they came back from the vet last night at 5:00. I picked them up with my friend Colleen and they looked very scared but were glad to be back with me I think. The vet tech told me that Ace was very happy to see Summer when he woke up. Yesterday he was pretty scared, walking with his tail in between his legs and not wanting to come by me really. But today is better, even though he cant jump on the bed or anything today. Summer did not come out of her crate until the middle of the night sometime, but she was asleep on the bed when I woke up. Today she came out and would eat and drink and play for a bit...then she'd go and lay down again. She is still sore I can tell, but I got them the bones they really like from PetCo and they each got a new stuffed animal to lay with in their crates. Im just glad it's over with and soon it'll be back to normal. =0) Wow, I've said alot....hehe **kris, abby, ace & summer
Awww... that's great. Poor little guys. It was pitafull (sp) looking at Toby after his neutering. He looked so spaced out and high. He just layed their blinking at me. No reaction at all. It broke my heart.
i am glad they are doing better today. we had a little chi in today for spaying and i was thinking of you. god she was so adorable !! i swear when i am too old to handle the big dogs anymore i am gonna get a chi. i figure by then allie and chili will be old enough to have a chi kennel and maybe they would sell me one :)
You should definately get a chi Scout!! My grandma absolutely adores Ace, she always tells me that I am too busy with schoolwork and I should just let him stay with her. Ha yeah right!!! But this summer my family is thinking about getting a chihuahua for my grandma (she lives with them) and then Abby would have a friend, too. Abby *loves* puppies, well she loves Ace and Summer. Last night she layed next to their crate and kept crying and biting on the door to the crate. Do you think she knew something was up and maybe she was worried? Thats what I thought but my dad said no, she just wanted them out to play.
Hey Acey, I'm getting ready to have Ariel spayed next month and to tell you the truth I'm a little scared about it. I've never had such a small dog. The other's have all come through great, and Bailey, my next smallest, wanted to be out running around the next day. My biggest problem was keeping her calm. Any advice? Scout, or whoever else might know, is it more dangerous to have a smaller dog spayed? I mean just because of their size. I know I'm just a big worry wart, I just can't seem to help myself. God forbid if my kids ever need any kind of surgery, I'd probably have a heart attack! Have a good day! Gina, Ace is double Ariel's size! I was worried about him because of his size, too. I think the smaller the dog the harder they take it. That's the way it seemed to me, I don't know if it is 100% accurate though. As for keeping her still afterwards, she probably will not want to be running around. Summer layed around all day yesterday and today she is, too. When I am not home, I put them in their crates...even if my bf's roommates are home (they don't watch them good enough). But Summer seems to have gotten better as the day has gone on. I am sure Ariel will be okay. Once it's done you'll be glad it's over with. =0)
Thanks, I will be relieved and you can be sure she will be pampered and I always put her in her crate when I'm not home. It's just that she's so tiny..... Well, I've known my vet for many, many years and he's a wonder man and truly loves animals, what more could I ask for? Thanks for the reply. Have a good day!
