I am sick and tryed of everyone talk about pit bulls. Pit bulls this and Pit bull that. I am going to stick up for myself and anyone who is sick of these dogs. All this time i have only heard two things about border collies and nothing about Jack russels. Do you want to know why7 i give these dogs a bad name because I AM SICK OF THEM. Sick of their name everthing. If you like them so much go somewhere eles. I have had problems at school with a site called www.neopets.com because everyone in my class would ask for stuff of it. And i came here to get rid of them and i get these crap. Well just forget it because i am leaving. Don't worry anymore you can have you pit bull i don't care. I hope your happy you drove me out of here. Bye :( (I hope i never come here again
Don;t take it to heart....most people on here seem to 'go off' about anything pit bull related -- I noticed it especially compared to Australia. Here, no one really cares. I'm sure it's not personal...
I have also had enough of you talking about pit bulls. So why not stay here and stop making up nasty posts about pit bulls?YOU are starting topics about them. Why not post about Poodles and Collies and Maltese, and other breeds whose owners you are not bothered by. Nobody is out to give you a hard time, only responding to your negative posts in the way that is to be expected--- in fact, I let you know the very first time, in your first of THREE pit bull posts, which YOU started, that you might not make lots of friends that way. It's just that it isn't nice to say ugly things about other people's dogs. If you honestly can't be on a forum where there are owners of breeds (or maybe just one breed) that you don't like--knowing you do not have to talk about that breed or respond to anything their owners ever say, then maybe you are right in leaving here and going somewhere that is not an all-breed forum. I am sorry that you feel that way, though.
Shinyblackpit.... I totally agree with you on that one. If you are so tierd of hearing about pits. Then why are you starting post about them? Thats how all the pit subjects start anyways is people bahing them and starting post like "another pit killed someone". Why don't you ever start post on Border Collies or some other dog you like? Its that simple. And if you don't like what a post talks about, don't read it.
Border-collie-babe, I can understand that you must feel like you've been unfairly judged or picked on, but one thing you have to realize about this forum is that it is a pet forum. This site is designated to talk about dogs and cats and birds and whatnot. So to get offended by pit bull posts, is like getting offended by talking about engines on a car forum. Pit Bulls are a breed of dog. People own them. People love them and hate them. So since this is a pet forum, people are going to talk about them. You have every right to hate them, just as others have the right to love them. But you have to know that when you post anti-pit threads, that the people that love them are going to get offended. If someone posted an anti-bordercollie thread I'm sure you would get offended. I'm not saying that you should make sure your posts don't offend anyone, because it happens. No one is going to like a post everytime. You should just post what you want to post. If you don't like people arguing with you, maybe post about different topics. If you don't mind people arguing with you, keep posting about pit bulls. That's your right. But you don't have to right to dictate how people feel about the post. But you do have the right to not let it bother you. I think the important thing is to take comments with a grain of salt and realize that you can't change the way people think, but know that your opinions are just as important as anyone else on this board, and that people aren't always going to agree. You should stay. It's not worth getting this upset by comments and opinions. Because they are just that.
Border Collie Babe, you have a differing opinion, and you have every right to it; just don't expect to be able to call a certain breed of dog "dangerous" without some spirited discussion. I'd talk less about the downs of Pit Bulls and more about the joys of owning a Border Collie. Trust me, we're on the same side of the fence on a lot of topics.
I think it's neat you are from Australia. I like a lot of science fiction shows that come from there. It must be a pretty place to live. Last night I went to sleep and you asked... who are you...me, or that Gal person? I have written enough about who I am. Somebody asked for full bios a couple days ago...I would repeat it if necessary. You posted a lot. Are you just tired? Nobody wants you to go. Sorry, it sounds like you get pressure at school. People can be so mean. They say that your enemies are really your friends because they make you tougher. Are border collies very common where you live? My dog class instructor, Danielle, has that kind of dog. She competes with them. Tells lots of funny stories at class. Well, it's nap time for me. I think everyone else went to work or school. Feel like I'm talking to myself. Later.
If I understand this forum correctly, this is a forum for animal lovers. It just so happens some of us here love our PitBulls. To come to a forum and post negative information and state your dislike of them is almost as bad as saying you dislike one of our children. Everyone here love our dogs. Us Pit owners don't engage in any Pit fighting or train our Pits as attack dogs. Our Pits are just normal family dogs just like your Boarder Collie or any other dogs that anyone here has. I was attacked by a Chow Chow that I rescued over a year ago, but I wouldn't think to come here and try to change some Chow owner's opinion on the breed. I just chalk it up to having a bad experience with a dog, not a whole breed. To say that you had a bad experience with a Pit and to state you are fearful is your right. To post long derogatorative internet info in an attempt to sway someone's opinion on Pits is no way to make friends. Especially on an animal lover's forum. All of us Pit owners have read and heard this stuff before. We work very hard to change the reputation of the PitBull by being responsible owners and having well-mannered dogs. For someone to throw this same old negative, worn out, tiresome literatue in our faces is a step backwards. There are a lot of responsible PitBull owners in danger of having to relinquish their dogs to city legislation. The more people realize that it is a resopnsible owner issue and not a breed issue, the more PitBulls will become accepted. So that is why PitBull owners are so sensitive when someone makes statements based on propaganda. What you need to do is find someone with a PitBull and get to know it. Then you will see for yourself that you have no need to be so fearful.
I am sorry but I have had enough of her bashing pits too. Didn't your mother ever tell you, if you don't have anything nice to say, then you shouldn't say anything at all. I love Border Collies, I have owned two of them, I will NEVER own one again. They are great dogs when they have something to do, but when they get board, beware. I still have a scar where a BC bit my on the back of the shin when I was little because he was trying to 'herd' me. I had another one when I was grown and she did the same thing. They go nuerotic. They are DEFINITELY not a breed for everyone. Same thing about pits. Only certain people should own them and those are the people who know how to properly train and socialize them. My beloved Pomeranians. Hardly a great family dog for someone with little kids, mine are an exception with the fact that they have all been raised by toddlers since day one. But I am not going to be the first person to reccomend a Pomeranian to the first person looking for a small dog. They CAN be nippy, They CAN be yappy, they CAN be one person dogs. But that doesn't stop me from loving this breed. There are tons of people who HATE the breeds that I love. Chows are one of those. They are as unliked as pits. But I still absolutely love them. By posting hate posts on pits, do you really think you are going to change the mind of pit bull owners? I strongly doubt it. Nobody has asked you to like them, everyone here has defended the breed that they love and will continue regardless of whether you stay or go. Just as you will, with your beloved border collies. If you leave here with anything....please remember this remark that I made in another post...you were bit by A dog, NOT A BREED!
Leave or stay you need to chill for your own peace of mind. Anger like that only harms yourself and you need an outlet. Whether someone does or does not like pit bulls really does not matter in the big scheme of things. Just don't read those posts. By the way, one of the best dogs I have ever seen is my sister's Border Collie. Very sweet and extremely intelligent. Great for young children and adults. Learn to disagree with people and not get so emotional or personal about things. You will be much happier for it!! I learned not to take myself or others so seriously and I am much happier for it.
"I AM SICK OF THEM. Sick of their name everthing. If you like them so much go somewhere eles." ------------------------------------------------------ First off you have been here a little over 2 weeks and several of the Pit Bull owners such as myself Shinyblackpit, Rednosered,True_Pits, Pitpat2az, cschimizzi, and many others have been here a lot longer. Besides that this is a public forum! Not a private forum. We have every right to be here. Oh and before you start telling people to leave why not check yourself..Miss IM only 12! Really when it comes down to it should not even be posting here in the first place. You have more than proved you are not mature enough to be on this forum. There are others posters on this board who are as young as you but they actually contribute and act in a mature manner...So far I have not seen one single post of yours that amounts to a hill of beans.
"Everyone here love our dogs. Us Pit owners don't engage in any Pit fighting or train our Pits as attack dogs. " Hear hear... whatever personal beef I have with idiot owners who have no right owning dogs that they don't train, or even worse, train to fight; none of the problem is with owners here. The owners here love dogs, and spend time researching the best ways to raise them and share their experiences with others. GinaH and I have really gotten into it before, but I'm really respectful of the fact she takes in rescues and takes care of them and does everything she can to help the public realize pit bulls aren't monsters; just a handful of owners are.
I do realize this is a child , but Jesus Christ kid , enough is enough! Leave if ya going to leave, stay if you're going to stay, BUT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, SHUT UP ABOUT OUR BREED OF DOG. like everyone has suggested TALK ABOUT ANOTHER BREED if the PITS bother you so much. GODDDDDDDDDD
