Well, Lady must be feeling better, I am getting ready to take her to get her stitches out. I let her out in the back yard this morning. It was soooo funny. I wish I had know I would have had the video camera charged. She was runing in these huge circles all the way around the yard. FAST! It looked like none of her legs were even on the ground at some points. Then she came to the door to come back in and layed down and went to sleep. Well, I'm off to the vet. Will be glad to get rid of the stitches!
I am NOT getting roller blades. LOL I don't need any broken bones and I am so uncordinated it's pitiful! Everything went great. She got her stitches out, heartworm test was negative, and she got her heartworm pills. She did keep eyeing a kitten they had running around in there, but I had a death grip on her leash. It had to be a white one like the thing they chase at the track. She doesn't ride in the car very well. They don't really sit and she wanted to stand but has no balance and I had to hold on everytime I turned or stopped or she would fall over. I thought about those doggie seatbelts, but don't they have to sit for those?
You could get a go-cart. lol the kids would love that. I wonder what she would actually do if she caught a cat? Do you think she would kill it? Maybe she just wants to be able to see what it is poor thing, it kept running away. Why does she not sit? She does not like to. (shrug) Any way, glad everything went well.
From what I understand greyhounds were never taught to sit. She will do it everyonce in a while, but it's on her way into a down. It is really funny looking because her behind stays about two inches off the ground. They say not to push on their butts to teach them so I'm not sure what to do. One good thing is they are not predisposed to the hip problems, but I guess it's something about how their legs are. I don't know. Anyway, whenever she sits on accident I tell her sit and good girl, but it's slow going because she hardly ever does it. I don't know what she would have done if she caught the cat. She didn't go after it, but she sure was looking at it. :) Not taking any chances here. A go cart, ha ha. That is funny. I wish there was a big place in the country I could take her to see her just run. It was awesome looking.
