Ok, I've noticed that Kiba is often peeing in her crate. It's a medium sized plastic PetTaxi one. Is it because it is so big and she is going on one side to pee and the other to sleep? What should I do? She is doing better at letting me know when she has to go outside, but still peeing in her crate. She also has a little sheepskin mat in their, should I take that out as well?
Why don't you check your local classifieds for a used crate? They usually have them fairly cheap. Off the subject, but a friend of mine just got a $200 used ferret cage for $20!! through the classifieds. Might not hurt to check it out. Fin
Thanks. I'm going to go check out Walmart on my way to work today, if not Petco has cheap ones ranging from $12.oo-$24.oo Thanks for the help! Should I take out the sheepskin pad as well? EDIT: I tried putting a plastic container in there to block it covered with a blanket, she pulled the blanket off and chewed (almost) a hole in it. Also, should I get the smaller sized one, for just what size she is now?
I own 3 crates in different sizes. Lilly is in the smallest at night so she will not pee in it, the medium is used when I am home but cannot keep an eye on her or when traveling (a little roomier) The large crate is mostly for Duncan but she will go in on occasion just to "get away". The original crate for Lilly was borrowed and she has outgrown it and has since been returned. Borrowing is ideal since they tend to outgrow them so fast and crates can get costly. I also see many crates in garage sales.
