Thank you very much. Actually I got him from the humane society, he was about 1 1/2 years old at the time and he had heartworms. I paid an extra 100.00 to treat the heartworms, which is a bargain in itself. He is purebred and he has been a wonderful dog. I can't for the life of me understand why someone gave him up. I didn't even know he could bark for almost a year after we had him. It was one of those meant to be things. I had always wanted a red golden (that sounds funny) but never expected to find one. Then there he was, all the other dogs were jumping and barking and he just walked up to the cage and looked at me. That's all it took. He was quiet and sick and skinny. He looks much better now. Oh, and when they neutered him at the humane society the vet left a sponge in and they couldn't figure out what was wrong until I took him to my regular vet and they found it. It was amazing, poor baby went through so much all at once, but he's great now. The one and only time I ever had a problem was the second day I had Lady and he went after her. I don't think he liked the idea that she was as big as he is, he never even blinked at Ariel or Bailey. They are friends now though and everything is great. Sorry so long. Thanks for the compliment.
