I have two sweet cats, Emma & Blackie, and they will only hang around the front of our house since we brought home our english bulldog about a year ago. Now that it is getting rainy & cold, and halloween is coming up(Blackie is a black cat) .. I am feeling guilty and worry about them. They won't even go in the garage at night when our bulldog is asleep inside. I went to the "Dogs & Cats can get along" website and found that some dog breeds and cat breeds just plain do not get along. Are English Bulldogs okay with cats? is what I need to know before I start to introduce them slowly together in a controlled environment. The website says that dobbermans and ruttwilers are not good with cats and there are other breeds that they did not mention that aren't good either. Thank you in advance for any information. Jennifer
My 3 English Bulldogs love to chase our cat but has never hurt her. Mine are good with cats but just because mine is doesnt mean all English Bulldogs are good with cats. Some dogs are some dogs arnt. I guess they just have to be used to them. My English Bulldogs are puppies still (4 months, 5 months, and 6 months old) So if yours is already a year old and never been around cats it might not do good with them but I dont guess you ever know until you try and see how it does.
