$120 adoption fee at the shelter is a good deal. The dog is most likely had shots, worming, plus is either spayed or neutered. You'd spend much more than that getting those services done on your own.

Save a life and adopt from a shelter or...

Thanks everyone, I had a great day. Sat in my yard and watched the fireworks down at the park, plus the 2 surrounding towns. Sometimes living next to the airport runway has it's benefits with all the open area.

I weeded my Mom's flower be...

What did the vet say when you took the dog in? My yellow Lab loved to find dead deer and roll in them. She'd come home with a green cast to her yellow coat. She was so proud of the terrible way she smelled, I think they find it similar to doggy perfu...

First of all, I'd shop around. $3800 seems very high for the surgery. Around here, it costs $1000 per knee. You may want to see if your State University has a veterinary medicine program. I know that Michigan State does. They perform surgeries and me...

Wow, I looked at this thread from about a year ago and wish gas was just $3.24.9 per gallon. That seems like a dream. It's up to $4.14.9 a gallon in Upper Michigan. We seem to be higher than everyone, even those towns a hour away.
