you all have helped me more than you know...I don't want to replace my Beam....but i'm so sad not having a dog in the house...

I had to put my beloved dog to sleep yesterday. I am so sad...and my 13 year old daughter can't stop crying...Is it best to jump right into another dog??? I'm so lost.
