They do need a lot of grooming, but you can brush daily, make sure to get belly and inside of legs good that is where they seem to gather matts, it helps to trim the hair on the pads of their feet too if you are inexperienced is best to have a groome...

You know I just do not know about your state but most states it is just a general kennel liscence you know if you have more than 3 dogs you get it yearly and here is cost $50. I would do some research for your state. You can do it in your basement ...
