Not sure if this is your first puppy or not, but I would strongly recommend getting your pup into a puppy socialization class. Rotties are great dogs, but get a bad rap. Socialization will be great for both of you, and since he'll probably be a big...

Do NOT give ICE COLD water to an overheated dog. I have been reading several posts from people that have almost lost their dogs to bloat from this. The vets have told them that the ice cold water hits the warm insides of the dog and the muscle basic...

You can PM my clicking the send a message link under my picture. And my insurance only cost me about $200 a year, so well worth it for me. But it's not for everyone.

A while back the local news did a story about a lab in Cincinnati, OH that is supposed to have good results. If I remember right the price was $85.00. I don't remember the name of the company but I'm sure you could find it on the net.

I would be concerned about a torn ACL. This just happened to my dog, very expensive surgery! Probably the best thing is complete rest, keep him off the leg as much as possible, very hard to do I understand. Maybe your vet would prescribe some pain...

Buddha had surgery today for a torn ACL from playing in the snow. I only got to speak to the person in recovery. The vet left a message that she had to do extra work on his knee cap? I have to wait until this evening to call to get a full update. ...
