Just an update...I took my dog to the vet. He said it was allergies, and gave me medication to us as needed. I'm in OH, and he said allergy season for dogs is usually the same for people, around here, that's April to September! Good Luck!

This is an outrage! I live in OH, just north of Cincinnati, outside of Hamilton County. I know this has been a hot topic for years, but this is inhumane and wrong. You are right, most police and animal control officals cannot even properly identify...

I would make sure your vet does some more follow up work, has he ordered blood work or anything? I have had friends that had dogs with cancer and it is treatable if you catch it early, and can afford it. If your vet isn't taking you seriously as yo...

My Chows have done this from time to time. With my last one, the vet said it was probably allergies, and I could give him 1 Benadryl, but he weighed about 55 pounds. I am taking my current chow to the vet today, he's doing the same thing, plus pulli...

My dog started to throw up after eating too quickly. My vet suggested smaller meals more frequently. That really wasn't an option as I work all day. But she also suggested adding water to the dry dog food, and let it absord the water before he eat...

I started my puppy on the leash inside the house. That way he could get used to it inside, before we went outside. He still pulls, but that's my fault for not correcting him. I have a Gentle Lead that is supposed to help with this issue, I just ha...

My puppy did the same thing for a short time. I would tell him stearnly, NO, and then immediatly give him something he was allowed to chew on and praise him if he did take it. He would sometimes get a little over bearing with vistors, and that's wh...

I feel terrible for anyone that has to make this decision. But we all know it is the right one to make. I had a Chow that was in a great deal of pain, she had Cushings Disease in the advanced stages, and she was 14. I had come to terms with the tim...

My almost 1 year old Chow suddendly keeps barking, all night long. He has been crated since he was brought home, and we haven't had problems until the last couple of months. Last night, the neighbor's dog started barking, so of course my dog had to...
